Gollum
Old news but still ,in 1996 ABDV defeated future USO/SW19 finalist Kevin Anderson in junior's tennis . Kevin Anderson reveals junior level loss to AB de Villiers Quote "AB was a well known tennis player in the junior circuit. I was two years junior to him, and we used to play against each other all the time. I remember this one time when he defeated me in straight sets, but I gave him tough competition. Over time, he concentrated more on cricket, and I streamlined my resources towards tennis. But, we go back. We are still in touch actually we talk to each other whenever we get time. I am still waiting for a rematch." He added, “AB’s best part was his court coverage, he had an amazing backhand as well.” https://www.sportskeeda.com/cricket/world-number-12-kevin-anderson-reveals-junior-level-loss-ab-de-villiers https://www.sport24.co.za/Tennis/Wimbledon/anderson-dreams-of-rematch-with-ab-de-villiers-20170708 Such a talent this ABDV !!!! Clarke
For what its worth, Sir Donald Bradman was an outstanding tennis player. I've read something on the lines of him missing an overseas trip due to sickness and since the ship had long sailed when he got well, he won the state championship of tennis. Regardless of records, runs, strike rates, hundreds etc, AB is the best batsman I have ever seen. Gollum
