King Tendulkar
Shocking pitch in 1st ashes test. Such a boring match and inevitable draw. So much for the ashes hype. This pitch is so flat its a joke. Link to comment

putrevus
It is not pitches which have gone flat world wide it is the bowlers who have become worse and are so dependent on conditions to make an impact. Aussies whipped everyone on the same pitches over last 15 years.Same thing happened with West Indies their pitches are traditionally very flat but in 1980s due their supreme bowlers they made them look bouncy decks. We saw in NZ series how Indian spinners were so ineffective if that was in 1990s Kumble with 120 runs lead was as good as win on Indian pitches. Quality of bowling has gone down and they are more dependent on conditions now. Link to comment

You look at the bunch of pace bowlers coming out of india, aus, england , SA, WI, NZ, SL and even pak, they are awesome imo check a few names here: http://www.indiancricketfans.com/showthread.php?t=248886 Its more gotta do with the quality of pitches and batsmen. ZodiaC
LOL@WIndies pitches being flat :giggle: Probably the bounciest pitches ever. Link to comment
Sid
So you're saying that pitches in West Indies were not bouncy in the 1970-80s :omg: Only the pitch in Barbados was bouncy and still is Link to comment
achilles
KT, don't be ridiculous now. Only India prepares wickets that kills test cricket coz we are "scared" of our opposition and all that jazz. This is a very sporty wicket. Haddin got a 100 and Cook is still batting, maan ! Like it was said, we just have an inferiority complex because Haddin and the gang can't manage a century in our country while they pile runs in heaps against England. We should feel ashamed of ourselves. :(( Link to comment
achilles
Oh ya, so is Ricky still gonna be blaming the curator and blah blah? Oh right, home turf. Hypocrite! Hope the English media rub it in his face. Link to comment

The Outsider
Reopening this thread. 1 wicket on the last 2 days of competitive cricket is a disgrace for a pitch. Not sure why this thread was closed? :dontknow: Link to comment
yoda
wow, unbelievable. is this the highest score in Australia for the loss of just 1 wicket? Link to comment
gult
Hear the english say how great Cook is, but sehwag and other Indian batsmen are still FTBs.. Link to comment
TheWall
Was it a flat pitch/pathetic Aussie bowlers? .... or both? Link to comment
Chalks
In the case of the Aussies, calling their current bowling line-up an attack would be most generous. Link to comment
DomainK
That was a ridiculous pitch. Australia is getting soft. They are making flat picthes to help their batsmen score some runs.:headshake: Link to comment
vaibhav_delhi
Adlaide(next test match) is also gonaa be similar for pace bowlers. Link to comment
kabira
Australia's best chance to win a test match was Brisbane. Traditionally they have always won here and always been ahead 1-0 in the series. check their record India was the last taem to draw here. 2003 vs India draw 2004 vs NZL won 2005 vs WI won 2006 vs England won 2007 vs SL won 2008 vs NZL won 2009 vs WI won Its going to be uphill task for Australia from here. They have to drop Johnson and bring back Bollinger. Link to comment
