mastana
Aaron Finch joins Royals to fill Smith's void Mumbai, Mar 26 (PTI) Rajasthan Royals inducted Australian top-order batsman Aaron Finch to fill the void created by the absence of South African opener Graeme Smith, who is out of the Indian Premier League III because of a finger injury. Finch is a 23-year-old attacking batsman from Victoria who made his first class debut against a visiting Indian team in 2007. A former Australia under-19 player, Finch has the experience of playing in India, having represented Victoria Bushrangers in the inaugural Champions League in October last year. Speaking on the selection of Finch, the CEO of the franchise Sean Morris said the youngster was a good addition to the team led by another Victorian, spin legend Shane Warne. "Aaron is a sensational young player and he fits within the Royals values of promoting and selecting young talent. http://www.ptinews.com/news/582821_Aaron-Finch-joins-Rajasthan-Royals-to-fill-Smith-s-void

abhinav
They can replace the injured players. Finch is not a injury replacement, he has been inducted because they released Martyn

abhinav
The best IPL team over 3 editions is being accused of nepotism and favoritism - ICF!! I think Martyn was a flawed selection but other then that, Warne is once again proving that he doesnt need big stars to deliver. He is truly the epitome of a perfect skipper in this format IMO. When you compare Martyn, to the likes of Pollard,Duminy and so many players, it is just peanuts. More importantly, RR knew their mistake and told him to go unlike other teams who still provide some players with paid holidays.
