Ultimate_Game
Since no one is expecting us to do well we will probably atleast reach the finals. It always happens that way.83 ' date='2003,2007 and even 2011.[/quote'] If that was the case we would have won the 75, 79, 92 and 99 World Cups hands down and would have lost the WC 2011 one. In WC 2011 we were the favorites going in along with the SA team. Link to comment
goggi
First round knockout. I mean it's embarrassing enough to have lost all the Super Eight games since the 2007 success. Might as well not qualify and rest for the champions league. Link to comment
carnish
Those who say that since we are playing in Sub-Continent and hence India has a good chance are fools. We played the Asia cup recently in Bangladesh and yet failed to make the finals. It doesnot matter where we are playing. Its who turns up on a given day and how much confident and commited the whole team is. This was the reason we won the WC because all 15 players were committed and determined to Win and were seen giving extra effort. Link to comment
Guest
We hold the premier T20 league in the world that gives 7 weeks of proper exposure to the best of our talent. The Indians (Mumbai or otherwise) shall not only beat other teams but smash them. Defeating teams by 8-10 wickets or 100+ runs shall be normal. What's more' date=' this IPL inspired reign is just starting, Indians shall go from strength to strength because of the amazing reserves.[/quote'] unfortunately we also teach T20 to few players from other countries and later underestimate them Link to comment

vvvslaxman
India won't be eliminated early coz there won't be many bouncy pitches in SL. But they won't win either. Link to comment

[b']India easily in the final cause of SC pitches. :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical: India won't come anywhere near the final. Hell, it would be an achievement if they even manage a win in the super 6s or super 8s - something they haven't managed to do the last two tourneys :haha: As for WI, I don't really know where you got "2 players don't win the cup" thing. They have players like Gayle, Naraine, Bravo bros, Russell, Dwayne Smith and Pollard and all of them are quite decent. India doesn't even have one go-to bowler whereas every team has blokes they can depend on - Pak (Ajmal & Gul), WI (Naraine), SL (Malinga and to an extent Mendis), NZ (Vettori), SA (Steyn & Morkel) etc. We have absolutely nobody to turn to and you can't win a tourney by scoring 200 everytime coz it's not gonna happen. Dravid_TheWall
Will be very lucky to reach the semis. More than anything, the ego tussle in the team will sink us like it did in the 2009 t20 WC. Also, I see no point in MSD continuing to lead our t20 side any longer. Under him, we failed to go past the 1st round in the last two events. Surely that calls for a change of leader. In fact, except us, most teams will have a new skipper for this event , . England - Collingwood out, Broad in South Africa- Smith out, ABDV in Pakistan- Afridi out, Hafeez in Australia - Clrake out, Watson/Warner/White in Sri Lanka - Sanga out, Mahela in West Indies- Gayel out, Sammy in NZ- Vettori out, Taylor in BD- Shakib out, Mushfiqur in Dhoni is perhaps the only captain in the history to have survived two first round exits in a multi team event (and not to forget two 4-0 test whitewashes). Shows the power of Mahi :giggle: Link to comment
