Chandragupta, Ashoka, Samudragupta, Devapala, Mahipala, Dharmapala....the list is pretty good and pretty much the apex list of desi warriors, only competition comming from our Scythio-Rajputs. And yes, the westies and the southies were happily shipping cotton, racing pongal boats and making merry while we were trying to liberate India. I personally find it more disrepectful when people hold those jaahil incompetent genocidal marathas as some paragon of virtue. To me, they are on a lower totem pole than the Brits.
