dial_100 Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 If you have severe sore throat problem after you eat sour things then you should eat few bites of carbs. May be bisckut, dry fruits roti, chawal etc etc. I use ant killers as we have lots of antz in our house. Esspecially when they make big nest all arround the house, especially backyard near the pool and they are all over the water. I have to hire pest control to take care of them. I have been biten by them many many times just last year alone. Gets huge swelling and it gets very itchy and burns a lot but nothing to make you see the doctor or something.
CC1981 Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Ok guys...this is the time to give up those secret tips that you have found useful... Share them with others... I'll start. Peeling garlic. ------------------ 1 Stick it in the microwave and keep on medium for 5-10 seconds...the peels pop and can be easily removed..................:D I find it quicker and easier to take each garlic pod, put it under the flat of the knife and give a sharp 'whack', thus squishing the pod a bit and getting the skin to seperate very easily. :D
chunky_lafanga Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 I just chop the back end of the garlic pod and it peels very easily. Garlic is so easy to peel anyway. You lot are drama queens :haha: Tip- Drink GREEN tea daily (4-5 cups). Very good for you. Normal tea does not have the good stuff that green tea has. To sum up, here are just a few medical conditions in which drinking green tea is reputed to be helpful: cancer rheumatoid arthritis high cholesterol levels cardiovascular disease infection impaired immune function
CC1981 Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Drink GREEN tea daily (4-5 cups). Very good for yo I've heard Green tea is good for you and i drink one cup few times a week-have been doing so for years now. But i am not sure 4-5 cups of green tea per day is a good plan- i know for a FACT that Green tea contains a lot of caffeine- thats way too much caffeine IMO.

Yeah you are right but it is said that you should drink 10 cups of green tea daily. However due to the caffeine angle it's thought that 4-5 cups of green tea daily is a safe compromise. I am on 4-5 cups of green tea daily these days.
CC1981 Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 I am on 4-5 cups of green tea daily these days. If you've had that kind of green tea consumption for a few months now, can you do me a personal favour ? Can you try going without green tea for a week and tell me if you suceeded/how hard it was etc. ? I am very curious to know if that quantity is addictive to a random sample person (ie, you). Thanks in advance if you do this. Should you wish to do this, you can PM me on it.
chunky_lafanga Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Ok will do. I will restock on green tea tomorrow and then do the 4-5 cups daily routine for 1-2 months. Then see how addicted I feel.
