The value of Gautam Gambhir in finals

Not saying he should be back in the squad but he played quite a few match winning knocks and especially in big finals. We have dhawan and he doesn't count today in my eyes as he played well all tournament. But we lacked that big match player who could anchor the innings. 

 

Say what you want about poking and his faults, all batsmen have faults. But in ODIs he was a crucial player. We need new players with that mindset. Pant and Manish Pandey look like players will mental grit. Can KL Rahul fulfill this role?
