Lol sledging a number 9 batter, they should have shown some guts and sledge people like kohli and youraj or shami if you consider bowling, but will they??? Lol I doubt they won't coz they knew if they dare they will be turning into "kababs". Sledging a number 9 batsmen is an act of coward ness.

Yes, IMO, Sledging is done for below reasons (either one or more) to unsettle the batsman.

1. He is best batsman

2. He is susceptible to loosing temper

3. Batsman (may not be very good) but is taking the game away and if he gets out thats about it.

4. Something that happened in first inning (generally happens bewteen bowlers like number 10 hitting ribcage and then getting one back from same guy when he come back)

5. Personal remarks.

 

I think those who do it because of reason 5 are simply stupid and  sore loosers and this match shows that this was one chance Pakistani got and they just went as low as they can get. Forget defeat, Pakistani cant even be gracious in Win.
