bigdhoni7
what do the selectors see in him? just because he had a couple of good games in the domestic season? i blame him for one of the reasons why we failed so miserably in odis during the whole "chappell era" ever since that west indies tour. he's just too mentally weak to play international cricket especially overseas. Bumper
Raina's ODI career may well be over after this series, if he plays Lee & co, the way he did in the ICC CT. Between Raina & KKD we've got two undeserving passengers in the ODI squad. Link to comment
Desi Cartman
Whatever I have seen of him , he seems like Rohan Gavaskar kind of talent to me ie : Not good at all and just happy to be in the side. Has he ever won a game for India ... how many MOM ? Link to comment
bigdhoni7
it's like recalling kaif back into the squad. just a big waste of time and it will ruin team chemistry by accomdating a loser. Link to comment
Cricketics
look i won't blame raina for getting selected in the team.. he did everything in ranji to get selected for Indian team.. it's not that he scored in couple of gamez how u said.. he scored in a lot of games.. but well selectorz decided to take him along with all other youngsters.. the problem here is that we need much stronger playerz in overseaz tour, hence i would have backed the decision to play Ganguly or DRAVID over Raina.. but as that is out of my control, now as an Indian, i would just hope Raina clicks so that India is helped by his performance and also the young man doesn't spoil his carrer.. fineleg
Why is KKD in the ODI squad to Aus? For the most part he is not a serious contender to make it into the 11 anyways. KKD's form is not very inspiring as well. Why is KKD in the ODI squad? Back up wicketkeeper? what else? Link to comment

I dont mind recalling Kaif to Test Cricket... Between some selections are punts.... Captains Back them Symonds - 2003 World Cup - Punter wanted him - !!! Sehwag - 2007 World Cup - Dravid wanted him - ??? Raina - 2008 VB Series - Dhoni wanted him - Lets see what happens Link to comment
bigdhoni7
kkd is a better wicketkeeper than partiv. hopefully he doesnt get a game because he's been horrible the last six months he's gotten a game (2020, odi and tests). Link to comment
Desi Cartman
I dont mind recalling Kaif to Test Cricket... Good point , he couldnt have been worse than UV and WJ Link to comment
Cricketics
i think he scored a magnificient fifty on day 5 of Indo-pak 3rd test.. hence he is there and hence he traveled to aus.. Link to comment

The Outsider
Reserve wicketkeeper. You need one when you are going to be playing 10+ ODIs in one month. Link to comment
bigdhoni7
wasnt that test match he scored that 50 in the 2nd innings when we were leading by some huge amount? the only thing i remember of him in that series was the way shoaib had his with him. there is doubt about it that he'll be eaten alive by brett lee. Bumper
I dont think it makes sense to waste a spot for a reserve wickie. We can always fly KKD in, on a day's notice, if need be, or could have picked Dravid inplace of him, so we have a reserve keeper cum top order bat, option. Link to comment
