King Tendulkar Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Re: Site Feedback way to many stickys and world announcments. i am sure like me a lot of people barely read them. the best way imo is to have latest post on top of page. think stickys etc need to be limited to max of 1 or 2 per page in total
Cricketics Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Re: Site Feedback would just like to suggest something.. saw ppl creating 10 threads in 5 minutes, and copy pasting the whole article in there.. it will be good if ppl highlight or change the color of the text in the article which they think is important part of the article....
Cricketics Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Re: Site Feedback as this is basically a Cricket forum.. so on that note we can have some section names related to Cricket termz.. like u can change the laugh funny section to - Silly Point..
Holysmoke Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Re: Site Feedback as this is basically a Cricket forum.. so on that note we can have some section names related to Cricket termz.. like u can change the laugh funny section to - Silly Point.. good ide.. i like it :wtg:
King Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Site Feedback Yup if there is anything, let us hear it. I have turned the auto refresh on. Geez... I can't quite believe it wasn't on by default.
DesiChap Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Ravi, I cannot get the auto refresh working from my side. I still have to refresh the browser. Is there any setting I need to change on my end ?
Dhondy Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Same here, Ravi. I am having to refresh every page to read the new posts.
Cricketics Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 when i on the main page of forum which is this one. http://indiancricketfans.com/Forums/ then i can see latest thread name of every section.. but when i go inside that section.. then i am not able to find that thread.. i can see all old threads but not that one.. for example, this thread of ur in which i have replied, i was not able to find this thread after going into general discussion section.. i just clicked on the link of the thread as it was showing on this page http://indiancricketfans.com/Forums/
yoda Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 yep, pages are all cached. I have to hit shift-reload to get new threads, or see updates to existing threads.
DesiChap Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Yes have to refresh browser to see the updated posts :(
King Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Let me try this again. I see no smiley appearing in the quick reply as well.
Lurker Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 I was unable to login today in the afternoon(kept getting the login page even though I had filled it) but now it seems to have been fixed. I was having Auto-Refresh problem too but looks like that is a goner now as well. Smileys are still missing Ravi.
King Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Smileys are available if you go "Go Advanced" Lurks. I will fix these little niggles no worries. I want to freakin discuss stuff here but all my time's going in fixing issues
Lurker Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Sure Ravi. The good news seems to be that website seems to be more or less on track now. The bad news of course is you would have bugs/issues/niggles like this that much more now to fix.. :-)
King Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 BTW can I take the refresh page to see the posts issue is now solved?
