Franco Vazquez Posted February 9, 2018 Author Posted February 9, 2018 The standard of cricket is astonishing because most of them pitches are batting friendly. Only UAE is anyway near the International standard
Cricketics Posted February 9, 2018 Posted February 9, 2018 Nepal game was a cracker. Two of these teams go to workd cup qualifiers which will take place next month with West Indies and teams like Ireland. I hope Nepal manages to go ahead.

We play against Kent and other county players who tour west indies and other usa cities during English of seasons and those guys get taken apart at times. If countries like USA, whichis sorting its mess after the ban, can start forming the right team combination whuch they are now, they will be right up there with Ireland, I can bet you. Nepal too recieved a ban. Give these guys regular games and I can bet you they will improve faster than how bangladesh did. Associate cricket starting from Division 2 and up is solid. Don’t just go by scorecards.
Franco Vazquez Posted February 9, 2018 Author Posted February 9, 2018 Namibia should have won the game. They didn't bowl out their best bowler Scholtz. UAE and Canada will qualify.

USA's best performance in an ICC event was in 2015 WT20Q where they almost qualified and the reason for that was the abundance of former USA U19 alumni in the squad and young players. Right now they are hellbent on selecting ex-Indian domestic players. Cricketics 1

Team picked here in the recent west indies 50 over tournament where USA has struggled isn’t bad, its just that they haven’t played much together. Give them few more games and watch how well they do. It takes time to get used to spin bowling on regular turf wickets which we don’t get much in USA as players all over USA play on different pit hes from matting to astro turf. Jaskaran is here to stay. I think he will be a star of USA cricket. They should add Fahad Babar in the squad and Alex Amsterdam, both are star. Also Steven Taylor needs to come back to USA, he left dor Jamaica where his dad was born.

I really hope US qualify for WT20 at least because I think US born players are actually good enough for international. They could also select Ian Holland who is US born. They will need to get rid of the likes of Khaleel, Sohal etc P.S: I have heard that USAC is not paying cricketers. Is that true? Cricketics 1

USaaca is history now. They were banned and now new federation has taken over and its doing a better job thanks to ICC who helped fix the mess. Follow the new twitter handle of usa cricket. We also have a USA cricket thread we will discuss this further. Its actually a joint usa/canada thread.
Franco Vazquez Posted February 9, 2018 Author Posted February 9, 2018 This tournament is really unpredictable. Any team can defeat anyone so its difficult but I would still go with Canada and UAE.
Franco Vazquez Posted February 9, 2018 Author Posted February 9, 2018 Nepal has undone their victory of yesterday by losing today by a heavy margin.

Franco Vazquez Posted February 9, 2018 Author Posted February 9, 2018 Canada defeated UAE in a thriller. Really man apart from the quality, This matches must be fun to watch.

Franco Vazquez Posted February 11, 2018 Author Posted February 11, 2018 What a tournament it has been. The quality is substandard but its full of shocks and thrillers. Nepal defeated UAE and Namibia defeated Oman
Cricketics Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Canada defeated Kenya too and its 3 from 3 for Canada. Its amazing what a turn around its been for Canada who lost te auty cup to USA. USA screwed up big time in Division 3 games or else they would have been in this tournament and won this tournament with the line up they are playing against Leeward Island where they won yesterday on a really slow track where even 150 was hard to chase and USA put almost 200 and won easily.
Franco Vazquez Posted February 11, 2018 Author Posted February 11, 2018 Canada has been in superb form but still don't get how they are.
Cricketics Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Niish Kumar is a wuality bat and they are just olaying better. Similar team lost bady like I said to USA but learned a lot. Congrats to them. It will be tough next month against West Indies and Ireland.
Franco Vazquez Posted February 11, 2018 Author Posted February 11, 2018 They still haven't qualified and can miss out. You never know about WCL.
