In terms of W/L yes but series?

Australia- Last won in 2001...that ATG team smashed Eng 4-1...after that 2005, 2009, 2013, 2015, 4 consecutive failures

India- Last won in 2007...smashed to smithereens in 2011 and 2014

SA- Last won in 2012...have been the most successful visiting side to England this millennium

Pak- Last won in 1996

Lanka- Last won in 2014 but that was just a 2 test series which they narrowly won 1-0, even we were 1-0 up after Lord's in 2014... Lankans have never won a 3 test series in Eng

NZ-  Last won in 1999

WI- Last won in 1988

So it isn't easy to win test series (>=3 matches) in England unless you are South Africa. SA have won 2 series since 2000 and we can join them if we win this time.

Wrong way to use stats

If you lose a deadrubber, it will affect your W/L record but doesn't mean you didn't dominatee

If you win first two games of 3 match series it's over so losing last game means nothing

Just means you don't really care for that 3rd test and would rather focus on big picture

If I'm a team that is 2-0 up in 3 game series, I don't mind putting a bunch of Tendulkar out there k owing full well I will lose. Inconsequential tin the big pictur

Bhai sahab, if you win even dead rubber also, then doesn't it mean you're more dominating than others?

It's a comparison of teams, some teams aren't even losing dead rubbers, so England is less dominating.

So they have lost to SA and SL in last 6 years.

They haven't beaten Pakistan after 2010. Failed twice.

Compare this to aussies who have lost to SA only.

India who lost to England in 2012, but after that aren't losing a test easily.

SA have lost to England.

SL lost series to India and Pakistan maybe. They too have smashed all teams at home recently.
