He along with Kohli are 2 two assured components of this 'top six'. His only sub par performance in SENA has been in ENG. If he maintains his avg: of 33+ in ENG  by the end of this tour he would have done his part. Another really surprising element is as to why he keeps on failing in subcontinent to spinners  despite avg:ing  50+ in domestic  on turning tracks.That is a real mystery.

Part of it is DRS, other part I think is that he's batting too low. In India and rest of Asia, batting in the top 3 or 4 is much easier, when the ball turns it's doubly difficult to construct long innings. He should probably get back to his usual spot of 3, which he enjoyed with Mumbai.
