Me too really like him but surprisingly he was averaging in the 50’s 2-3 years back his average has gone down remarkably.

For me both Rahane and Pujara are key test players unless their form/performance falls dramatically

Form is temporary but Class is permanent. Unfortunately for Rahane form has been bad for a long time. Again he does not play spin good these days but no batsman can be successful in Indian domestic as Rahane if he was so so poor against spin. Needs to up his game.

Pujara is not a good players overseas. It's time to accept the facts. 8 games are more than enough samples in England.

When he performs ,we usually win .problem is he doesn't perform too often but he along with other batsmen like vijay,pujara,kohli etc have had to play in really tough conditions most of the times be it turners at home or pitches in saf ,eng so it's not always easy to get going when you get a relatively easier pitch after playing on tough pitches mist of the times

This should've happened 4 years back, sadly the TM^tm (sometimes) thinks too highly of Pujara and very little of Rahane.

He has regressed Lala bhai started well but form went from bad to worse in Indian conditions average has gone down from 53 to 42.

i believe he should be given opportunities consecutively even though one or two failed. This guy seriously has the potential. India's future.

Nobody is hacked . I always appreciate performances whoever does well.

Rahane helped us win the only two overseas wins we've had in the last 4 years. His innings in the third test in SA is criminally underrated, especially since it was his first match on that tour. Now we might win this as well. Goes to show how important his contributions are to this team.
