OzGirl
Australian skipper Tim Paine continues to chirp behind the stumps against India At the MCG on Thursday, Tim Paine's chat behind the stumps was largely restricted to encouragement and cheeky attempts to distract his opposition. In a loud conversation with Aaron Finch who was at short leg, with India's Rohit Sharma in the middle of the pair at the crease, Paine vowed to start supporting Sharma's Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai if the recalled batsman hit a six. "It's always been a toss up for me between the [Rajasthan] Royals and the [Mumbai] Indians, who I [should] support. If Rohit hits a six here, I'm changing to Mumbai," Paine said. "Too many Poms at the Royals." Sharma smiled a few times in reaction to Paine's banter. Paine also made a quip to the umpires as Cheteshwar Pujara dawdled at the end of the morning session. "He's going to pay half my fine," Paine laughed as Pujara performed some gardening to ensure there wouldn't be another over before lunch. https://wwos.nine.com.au/cricket/no-barbs-paine-and-kohli-a-battle-of-wits/ef0f4dfe-7bb0-484d-afb5-4307991d9863 Brettcat 1 Link to comment
