Lalchand Rajput, Mumbai's coach, confirmed that Bravo was the unanimous choice of the "few" names discussed by the team think-tank. "The decision to pick Bravo was a collective decision," he told Cricinfo. Malinga, recovering from a knee injury that he picked during the CB Series in Australia, and, had to miss the Caribbean tour but was confident last week he would be fit to join the Mumbai squad. But Rajput said "we got a report that his recovery might take a further two to three weeks. So we decided to have a back-up". Completely crass and uncalled for in the name of aggression!! The 'paltan' might need a rethink given that are rapidly shaping up to be the weakest team in the whole league. :hysterical:

Sack The CEO. If the Mumbai Indians want to show their professionalism in the IPL,its time for their CEO,R.Balachandran to be sacked. Ask any MI Paltan and they will agree that only their heart was supporting MI and head had many other favourites even with a fit GOD. Mumbai is a vibrant city with a lot of passion and character but MI is exactly the opposite. Even during auction there was not a single ex-cricketer with the MI while most other teams had cricketers in their bidding team...there was this f@cker CEO and two gentleman from Reliance Retail...what they know abt cricket? MI CEO has been a utter failure and its time to go, though many would say its premature....but thats whats professionalism. How many coaches are Magpies having in a single seaon in EPL? Even Liverpool CEO Rick Parry is on his way out for not making the team globally popular like Blues and Red Devils. So in IPL lets start from the worst team in the competition so far.

Their team composition is shocking. Its an unexplainable mix of retired former greats who are well past their prime and untested domestic and international talent. Whoever did the job of selecting their squad, obviously had a fight with his/her spouse the previous night.

Reliance manager/director who was handling the MI matters said "What Sachin wants is what Sachin gets." The whole team was selected by Sachin. So, I am not sure why he chose this team. Perhaps he assumed he can make them play well when he was around :P Instead he is sitting in the dugout thinking what might have been.

Major changes required... Kick the fcking surya out along with Luke Ronchi. Make Rahane and Robin open the batting line up and for god's sake if nayar can bowl, please fckin try him out. In the team's line up, I saw as many as 7 players who can bowl, why the fck not bowl them then ? Captaincy, fielding, batting, team management and you name it has been nothing short than pathetic. Who would have thought that the most expensive team would be managed this fckin way ? Totally disappointing.. :((

Heh. I am not sure that was such a good idea though. He's a young bowler and you don't want him to be demoralized because the first over he bowls to an international batsman is sent for sixes by Gilchrist. We'll see how he handles it.
