amits
far too many similarities between these 2 matches, the biggest aus making 317 & ind making 299 & losing by 18 runs - http://content-ind.cricinfo.com/indvaus/engine/current/match/297798.html http://content-ind.cricinfo.com/cbs/engine/current/match/291368.html Zakhmi 1 Link to comment
Ram
Wow, has such a thing ever happened before, between the same teams ? I doubt it. Link to comment
Mr. Wicket
great catch amit! The Nagpur game was more painful, just because India really had no reason to lose it. At the halfway stage they were 140/1 - Tendulkar and Ganguly had put up a superb opening stand and the middle order really should have built on it to win the game instead of collapsing to GBH. At Sydney, the game was just about up by the 15 over stage when India were 4 down. A terrific fightback, but too much of an ask. Link to comment
Gambit
We should have won the first game after a 150+ opening stand. Link to comment
amits
the nagpur game was the most painful of the 2 defeats. we had a solid opening stand and it was in the overs 32-41 that we lost the way losing 4 wickets without adding too many runs. but uthappas fighting knock at the end almost too us to win when we needed 96 off 48 balls with 5 wickets in hand this sydney game was the opposite, a top order collapse and gambhir & uthappa taking us close to a win with a less experienced batting line-up who were in this situation for probably the 1st time with more than 15 overs to go, most surprising thing is that the same 2 teams have pulled off the same scoreline too soon and uthappas fighting knocks being yet another similarity between the 2 games. cricket was a game of glorious uncertainities, but these 2 games take it even further Link to comment
amits
and if this is not enough, both the matches saw 2 run-outs in the last over for the aussie team including a last-ball run-out!!! Link to comment
Sachinism
We should have won the first game after a 150+ opening stand. fineleg's response drop tendulkar, he got 70 and got out, bloody useless Link to comment

Guest HariSampath
That was the infamous Ganguly crawl of 86 off 111 balls , that killed India's chances and eventually led to Ganguly being dropped Link to comment
