I get your point. But their first job is to bowl  except for pandya. If we are expecting them to score some runs in batting then it's the batting team at fault not them. The battling line up should make sure they rarely get to BAT. WI made a mincemeat of This BATDEEP and TOTAL CRICKET approach of England by sheer bowling power. 

 

Sorry not directed at you but I really don't get the fascination of Bowlers who can bat and Batsman who can Bowl. 

 

Proper specialists any day over TOTAL CRICKET Bullshit.

The middle order is very dodgy as it is, picking 5 specialist bowlers will make the batting quite weak.

 

The best option for now is 4 specialist bowlers (among Bumrah, Shami, Bhuvi, Kuldeep, Chahal) + Pandya + Jadhav.

You are getting your formats mixed up. 

You do need deep batting line-up for limited versions of the game. Nobody is expecting the likes of Kuldeeps to average 20+ with strike-rate of 100+ in limited over games but India 6 down is pretty much same as India all out with 4 complete rabbits with the bat.
