Yeah but currently there are many 145kph pacers all around world. In past there were not alot like that. If you see our domestic bowlers we too have like 5 - 6 bowlers who can clock 145 at times in longer format but they are not all rounders. Stokes and pandya are best deal right now i assume.

Its for the better. Especially for a team like India, it is better to have specialist batsmen and a clear segregation between bowlers. The neither here nor there concept never works for India.

Before he made his debut to international cricket, he was actually a tear away fast bowler ( thats what the english media spoke, then ). But due to injury, he lost pace and I think in his initial 2-3 yrs, he used to bowl only around 120's-130's. But it was only after 4-5 yrs that he suddenly started hitting 150. 

Yes, he was mostly a 135-145 bowler.
