Vilander
ok its SC lol. SC first does not allow the three stands to be used, and then SC appointed COA wants to move the match from the stadium ? "There are 3 stands at Chepauk which are not allowed for seating spectators during matches. As per the directive of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, the stands I, J and K have a slight issue about their construction and hence, TNCA has been directed not to sell tickets for these stands unless a clearance (temporary or permanent) is obtained beforehand or the fault in the construction cleared out. The problem is of insufficient spacing between those stands and an adjoining building. Based on the rules, the spacing should be a minimum of 8m between the stands and any adjoining building. However, the distance between the stands I, J and K and an MCC (Madras Cricket Club) gymnasium is only 5.4m, thus violating rules. Regardless of the above, some matches have been played with full attendance of spectators despite this flaw, as happened during the 2011 ICC World Cup. The same was the case during India-Pakistan ODI in December 2013. TNCA and BCCI had obtained a temporary approval for the these games and hence, they were played in front of capacity crowds. However, the stands have been sealed since, pending corrective action from the concerned authorities (as was evident during IPL 2015). Edit: Recent reports suggest that TNCA have reached an agreement with concerned authorities stating that a part of the MCC gymansium will be demolished so as to attain the required 8m spacing as explained above. Starpower
After their humiliating loss to Russelll inspired KKR last night, Virat Kohli was overheard claiming: "Cheer-up guys, we can still do this! We can still come back and win the IPL Trophy! In fact, I am confident that by the end of the tournament, they'll be calling us the Royal Come Backers!!!! Proper home advantage at the start of the itinerary. Now they have to play few away matches in the coming week. This headstart they always get every year...
