Definitely 1979 for me, the oval was packed to see the greatest batsman ever and he didn't let us down .

175 mins , 124 balls of pure elegance, artistry, poetry in motion , 81 runs of pure class , majestic edges , mishits, powerful drives that managed to get off the square , why could I not bat  like this guy when I batted  in the trade mark floppy hat ?

My heart fell when he succumbed 19 runs short of the land mark he so deserved , the oval rose to their feet in appreciation then left, they only came to see The One And Only Mr Majid Khan , the Donald Bradman of the seventies .
