Quote

“Risk of diversion of domestic cylinders for commercial use was noticed as 1.98 lakh PMUY beneficiaries had an average annual consumption of more than 12 cylinders which seems improbable in view of their BPL status. Similarly, 13.96 lakh beneficiaries consumed 3 to 41 refills in a month. Further, IOCL and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) in 3.44 lakh instances issued 2 to 20 refills in a day to a PMUY beneficiary having single bottle cylinder connection," the report said.

Why is opposition not taking it up in the parliament? Why is it that there is no PIL or Suo moto action requested by the courts? Instead of taking these issues of massive corruption, they are protesting CAA/NRC aur pata nahin kya-kya!

How do you connect it to the government? It could be a corruption of the gas agencies. During DeMo, lots of poor people who had opened bank accounts (for getting govt subsidies) had lakhs of rupees. That is a jugaad of corrupt people hiding money. After Rafale, no opposition is bold enough to raise corruption charges at this admin. Faye D'Souza former Mirror Now was infamous for raising fake issues (resigned from there now).

Sure. But the Auditor's report is out for one month.  Shouldn't the current government be responsible to follow up on the report?  Why haven't they?

Corruption, crime and fraud are deeply enmeshed in the Indian "system".  I am not saying the BJP did this.  But they are accountable for not following up.
