oh man!!!!! i remb that over where he hit broad for 2 sixes...after the first one broad was muttering " not me.....not again....why me..? southee hit something like 90 off 50 balls against ireland in the 2004 u-19 wc to won nz that match from a position when it looked like nz will lose. nz were chasing 304 to win in that match. southee did it when he was 17. he does have the potential to become nz's best all-rounder

Yep, you can say that again. For those who werent in the loop, Salil has been crying his throat hoarse, right from the time this series started, that he does not understand why Southee isnt playing in it. Then, I had barely heard about Southee, but obviously, Salil was right, as usual.

Can smack the ball a good way and bat very well down the order. And can rip the hell out of Australia on their home fortress at the Gabba. (Jesus, a Kiwi seam and swing merchant who could run through Aus at Brisbane and smash a few runs... brings a certain Hadlee to mind!)

this is an exciting fast bowling talent ... he seems to understand nuance at an early age .... lets hope he develops and most importantly (given Kiwi history) stays injury free
