My FIL's business is already shut down - he was doing small-scale BPO for desi-owned hotel company in London.  Hotels are shut down, so they terminated the contract.

There are going to be massive waves and waves of disastrous economic losses from this. All avoidable if the Chinese government hadn't lied and played games of hiding the truth.  Just 2 weeks earlier communication, and this pandemic would not have spread all over the world, not like this.  None of this had to happen.  It was preventable, but for the selfishness and amorality of the CCP.

This makes me mad every time I think of it, which is often.

more so, when I stumble across CCP propaganda, blaming others including US, shouting false accusations of "racism", goddam Chinese national newspaper is out there tweeting and insulting India and Indians.  All because they want to make sure their ignorant population doesn't rise up against the communist party.

Days and nights are beginning to blur, as I neither seem to fully work nor fully relax.  Being at home the time is like a state of suspension, neither one thing nor another.

I wouldn't say nerves are fraying all round, but I can't see the lockdown going on for a long time without something giving.  It's hard to look at the street outside and know you can't go out there.   I wonder how people are coping in flats in large cities, when it's hard enough being confined in a bungalow in Dehradun.

But these are middle class problems that pale into nothing compared to the India that is on the streets, that barely earns enough to live past another day and that has no place to go.  The hysteria on TV continues, the heated debates over nothing much and the screaming, slanging matches that lead to nothing.

I'm reading a lot more than usual- it's now up to a book every 2 days (or less).

Just today a friend asked me what I would do if I could go outside right now.  I don't know, it's pleasurable just to contemplate one's imaginary  choices.

Oh yes, I've run out of booze- now I'm f*cked.
