Sanjay Manjerkar is an Idiot

Why is manjerkar critical of this pitch, arent home team suppose to prepare pitches suiting their strengths. The reason why Indians were winning at home in 1990s was not just due to home conditions but the confidence which they had that they could beat any side at home which sadly they lacked when they went overseas. Main core of the batsmen who were in those 1990s side are still there in this present Indian side but why are we performing better overseas. The reason is they are now confident when they travel overseas as well. When Indian travel overseas are they being given spinning tracks it is ok for Indians to accept playing on bouncy tracks which suit opposition seam bowlers when they travel overseas and it is not ok for Indians make spinning pitches when they play at home.If you look this pitch it assisted fast bowlers as well if they bowled in proper areas what more can you ask from pitch. It is about time people like manjerkar stop living in past when Indians bowed to visitors wishes and bent backwards to accommodate them. The main reason why Indian are perfoming better overseas is now is confidence from Indian batting that they can bat better overseas as well.If you look at most of losses from 1990s till now is batsmen not perfoming to their potentials overseas .Remember Indians had to get 100 odds runs to win in a test in West indies but they got all out for 81. The FAB four as well call them are playing since 1996 but those team never fared well overseas so why are they playing better now .It is the attitude which has changed , it still needs to change if Indians are supposed to become no1 side. The need to become mentally tough and be prepared to fight . If you look since 1980s side under Allan Border who took over the captaincy of very young australian side they were talent wise so inferior to Indian team at that time under kapil dev but mental they were so tougher than Indian Team .The Australians has better results than Indians at that time . since then their talent has risen and they became this unbeatable team but it is mental toughness which still separates them other teams . India is on right path they need that mental toughness and accountability from all players to be throughly professional which they were not in first two matches if you look at RP singh and Sreesanth performance in first two matches and batting collapse in second test , those kinds of mistakes cannot happen again if they want to be top side in the world.

Sanjay Manjerkar is an Idiot - Yes. I don't understand why he is so critical of the pitch either - considering how he was not a very big success on any overseas track, and especially in Australia where he couldn't handle what he calls fair pitches. There are fair and unfair pitches now? That is ridiculous. Our batsmen have been capable of playing on most of the pitches offered to them in the past 6-7 years. Perhaps he was completely absent when we toured West Indies in mid-2006. Apart from Dravid no one else (on either team) was able to handle those pitches. They were pretty horrible. There was even a situation in the West Indies (during their time at the top) that they had to abandon a match because the pitch hurt nearly 6 English batsmen in less than 45 minutes (Curtly Ambrose being the culprit here). Those pitches are dangerous to bat on. Just because we are able to handle this (because we are used to this) better than them and won the match does not mean we won it unfairly or that we did not win it sportively. His argument has no basis as far as I am concerned. He's just unhappy that we won so easily on a turning pitch. He would've been far happier, it seems from his comments, had Sreesanth/Ishant ran through their batting lineup on another Ahmedabad like pitch, which is stupid. Why? Because most of the pitches offered to the Indian team when they go abroad are pitches that are even worse than the Motera one - in terms of the swing and bounce offered. He is not a person worth listening to. Why doesn't Ravi Shastri cover these domestic matches as well?

Add to that idiot list one more name Sandeep patil, who on cricket next was saying the pitch was under prepared its just so amazing to see these nitwits saying this is unfair pitch, remember Johannesburg in 2006 when 20 wickets fell in one day nobody said that was unfair pitch , India beat SA throughly on their pitches too.

Whats more amazing aspect of these guys is when indian were76 all out it, it was epic collapse and great bowling by South Africans and when SA get all 120 all out from being 64/2 and from 150/1 to 265 all out it is all about pitch. Why such double standards.

yeah Manjrekar is a big idiot. Like he did well as a batsman for a while before failing in the same way he did well as a writer and a commentator for a while before failing. Idiots never learn from their mistakes and Manjerakar is the same. What is the next job for Manjrekar. Any guesses!
