All other countries in the top 10 are export powerhouses with MASSIVE current account surpluses YoY for decades. India is the only exception. India being a massive net importer, and yet making it here is due to 3 reasons - inbound remittances, FDI's and money in the Indian capital markets I see FDI going up significantly in the next decade and us have $ 1 trillion dollar FX chest by 2025. mishra and randomGuy 1 1
