So true. Kohli is the perfect example for it --- despite Kohli being so "fit" and "agile", the most "unfit" guy - Rakheem Cornwall is a better overall fielder than him. That sums it up. Cricket is a skill-based game, be it batting, bowling or fielding.

Pakistani mentality is still stuck in the 1992 world cup. They have never emerged from that. It literally defines their nation.

Heck they even elected the captain responsible as the prime minister to rule their country. So of course players who grew up idolizing that win will think only that way is the best way and that mentality is the best mentality. Despite it being 28 years since then

They still follow the mentality of going slow initially, with one pinch hitter and then trying at death. They still believe they have best fast bowlers and talent

Certainly not. Is the 2011 world cup even celebrated that much? Kapil dev was mocked for some time. We have moved otno a place wher sports people are no longer God for most (although some rare nutjobs are there)

People don't care for victory or defeat as much, the actions psyche had moved forward. Cricket is just another sports and entertainment, not tied to nationalism

I mean specifically the "mentality of going slow initially, with one pinch hitter and then trying at death" :giggle:
