Great Cricket documentary: Branded a Rebel

Recommended Posts

Brilliant watch. Saw it last night. Sympathies to the SA white cricketers too who lost out due to their govt atrocities. A golden generation gone.

Feel worse  for the rebels obviously.

Also a big lesson to Kohli etc. look at Clive Lloyd, turned down  a million $ check in the 80’s for values :hatsoff: these days we see Kohli pandering to Pakistanis, it’s disgusting.

Clive Lloyd is the real captain, nothing but respect.

Watch it at your own leisure and if you are a cricket nerd which is the reason why you are on this forum in the first place, you will enjoy it or might have already watched it.

It affected a lot more than people realise..  Alvin Kallicharran's  brother left our team here in Scotland to go to New York to live and play  because the Guyana government put him on blacklist because Alvin went on  rebel tour and he could not return home after playing our summer .

it’s insane how much money they were shelling out. Almost IPLesque. Wonder where that money is these days in cricket SA?

South Africa Cricket Union which meant the Government . Viv Richards as the World star at the time  was offered a lot more than Clive Lloyd but wanted absolutely no part of it
