i cant understand y nobody started a thread on yusuf pathan
At the end, you have started it...Keep it up!
its time to get yusuf pathan into the odi & 20/20 teams now. in a high pressure situation, walks in, hits 6 6s & the fastest 50 in ipl off only 21 balls. makes 61 off only 28 balls. and its not just 1 innings, yusuf pathan has the highest strike-rate out of all 20/20 players in the world, a staggering 198.85. if he has scored 1 more run in this innings, his sr would have been 200 move over players like afridi, symonds, mccullum, hussey, yusuf pathan is here.besides being a explosive batsman, yusuf pathan is a useful spinner as well. took 2 crucial wickets in todays match and its not just 20/20, yusuf pathan has a sr of 114 in list-a matches as well & scored 3 100s in the ranji trophy this year, with all 3 of them coming of <90 balls. if yusuf pathan gets a chance in odis, afridis 37-ball 100 record could be history
all adjectives together on one side and vengy+MSD on the other...make them understand!
imagine yusuf pathan & sehwag opening. the score could read 150/0 in 10 overs :D
thanks a lot to you for this prediction...lots n lots of ghee+cheeni in your mouth...waiting for this actuality!

and again. 68 off 37 balls today for yusuf pathan as he hits his 3rd ipl 50. also, a useful bowler as well picking up the wickets when the team needs them the most & doesnt give away too many runs just imagine yusuf pathan & sehwag opening the innings together for india. the scores could read 150/0 in 10 overs :D

This guy is too good, too well suited to LOIs, to be kept out of the ODI squad for long. From what I have seen in IPL, he is probably India's most explosive batsman. Its a criminal offence to keep such a talent out the team for long. Sure, he is going to fail quite a few times, get out in single digits frequently. But if he succeeds, he can be devastating. Yusuf Pathan is like an Afridi who actually scores and not just threatens to score all the time.

Just a slogger & nothing else' date=' good for T20's[/quote'] look at his record in ranji trophy as well. he hit 3 100s in fc matches this season & all 3 of them came off <90 balls. and its not just his batting, he is a decent spinner & could be considered for the test side on his spin bowling after kumble retires. has won baroda & west zone some fc matches on his spin bowling alone and yusuf pathan should immediately be drafted into the odis. he has a sr of 114 in list-a matches

He's a fantastic player and got loads of talent...but I think he'll end up like another Sehwag in ODI's. A guy who got off to good starts sometimes but usually failed. In tests he will never match' date= though.
I didn't get this part... YKP is nowhere in comparision with VS...VS started as a replica of someone with aggression( in place of technique ) minus foot work. He didn't improve in any of these aspects...a good player is always a good learner ( SRT is always after improvising his techniques ). YKP has orthodox techique+good foot work+temperament and calculated aggression. What to say more regarding this guy?
Dude - Yusuf is a fine talent loaded with potential, guts, application and commitment. Please don't compare him to Beastly Beastly Afridi.
Afridi is a pure and mostly a successful slogger, always tries to be on rampage...in no way YKP may be compared to him.
look at his record in ranji trophy as well. he hit 3 100s in fc matches this season & all 3 of them came off <90 balls. and its not just his batting, he is a decent spinner & could be considered for the test side on his spin bowling after kumble retires. has won baroda & west zone some fc matches on his spin bowling alone and yusuf pathan should immediately be drafted into the odis. he has a sr of 114 in list-a matches
This is purely qualitative and not quantitative as what he has achieved in his career...its the time to get appraisal of being in the national squad for doing some good and dashing for the nation.
Only if Yusuf keeps Sehwag away from the strike.
well said! :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:

A disciplined all-round performance A disciplined performance with the ball, followed by a counterattacking blitz from Yusuf Pathan, sealed a six-wicket win at Eden Gardens for the Rajasthan Royals, who with 18 points from 11 matches, become the first team to firm a spot in the semi-finals. At the toss, Shane Warne had said his intention was to knock out the Kolkata Knight Riders, and the loss leaves the home side nearly out of the running for a semi-final place. Kolkata were left clueless against what came next. Enter Yusuf Pathan, whose hand-eye coordination and powerful strokes quickly took the game away. Gul had troubled the batsmen, but Yusuf wasn't to be daunted. He steered a full toss past midwicket, although he was lucky an inside-edge the next ball missed the stumps. He then took a liking to Ganguly, and the whole of Kolkata was silenced as the local hero was carted for huge in the midwicket region off consecutive deliveries. Runs came at ease as Kolkata's bowlers and fielders failed to break the partnership.

Kaif, who had been dominated by his partner, took a hat-trick of fours off Ashok Dinda, in a phase where he showed his ability to clear the infield. With Yusuf blazing away at the other end, Kaif didn't have to take any risks. He placed the ball around for the singles and twos, and Kolkata were guilty of failing to effect the run-out chances offered to them. He was mostly overshadowed by Yusuf, though, who sealed the game in the 17th over from Gul: the first ball was lofted over extra cover, the next through midwicket, and he finished the game off in style, sending the ball sailing over square leg for six. He already had the fastest fifty in the tournament, off 21 balls, and with a 48 off 18 today, he was just one hit away from breaking that mark. It appeared challenging until Yusuf began his mighty blast.

Better hand-eye coordination is all that is needed success in batting in IPL.
O yeah! This is definitely a best performance with through co-ordination of brain-hand-eye, this is very much felt in today's innings.
that really was massive 97 metrews and again another big one, this one went higher pathan on fire
Today was his day! Keep it Up YKP!! Yahoo!!!
ooooohhhh if he hit, pathan was gone rushed it too much, he had so much time
this was the only chance that he conceded in his disciplined innings.
The way Yusuf has imposed himself on the game' date=' match after match, has been incredible.[/quote'] O yeah! ↑ thats right^
