India should surpass them in volleyball (men's). It's unacceptable what has transpired to Indian volleyball in last decade. Forget China even Pakistan was doing better. Hopefully this is a resurgence of Indian volleyball and we can become a Asian powerhouse once again. Basketball and Football is where they will stay ahead. Securing a medal in Asian Games is not that far fetched I reckon. Korea is one of the Asian Giants of Asian Volleyball along with superpower Japan. Even Womens team will finish top or 2nd in their group and will face Netherlands and Australia in the next round.. they will find it tougher

But Australia are at the same level as India currently. More importantly, Australia will carry forward 0 points, while India and China will carry forward 1 point each. So our women's team have a better chance of getting through to the semis compared to the men's team.

LordPrabhzy Posted August 24 Posted August 24 India women bow out of the Semis contention with a 0-0 draw against Australia. That Pool game draw against China has come to haunt them- that win could have put them top of the table in 2nd round. Now mens have to beat Argentina by a big margin.. will Ned and Eng collaborate and play out a draw to keep India out? In Fifa WC all games in a group which are the last ones are played at same time to avoid some teams working together to keep another one out. I wont be surprised if that game is a draw.
