"Babar Azam is no less than Don Bradman": Ramiz Raja

Recommended Posts

Since the 80s, no LOI stats-padder can compare to the equivalent average in tests , due to one simple reason: one of the most frequent dismissal mode in test cricket- caught in slips- is non existant in ODIs due to lack of slip cordon. Ie, shots you cannot play against McGrath in the 90s or 00s are shots you can play now- steer down to third man/flash through the slip cordon.

This is also why Babar sucks in places like Australia or South Africa, where high pace & bounce means flashing outside the offstump = caught in slips.

I trust that we are directing our criticism towards Ramiz Raja for this comment, and not unfairly attributing it to Babar Azam.

Under Ramiz's leadership, the PCB made efforts to establish Pakistan as a brand, with Babar Azam being prominently featured and extensively promoted. Unfortunately, the repercussions of the comment are unfairly affecting Babar, while those within the PCB responsible for creating this situation seem to be avoiding accountability.

It's essential not to place the entire blame on one individual for all of Pakistan cricket woes. :((
