Their sole WC in 92 was itself on the backs of Qudrat ka Nizam with Eng match rained out after Pak was bowled out for 74. Generally they performed well in SENA compared to asia Icc trophies Eng - 2 Aus - 1 Asia - 0 Runnerups Eng - 1 Sa - 1 Aus - 1 Asia - 0 Edited July 31, 2024 by Praveen 06

Having a one-off match to decide the best Test team and that too the final hosted in England which hands a huge advantage to SENA countries. It's worse than lottery - it's actively rigged in favor of SENA teams. The right approach would've been either to rotate holding the tourney in Asia and SENA, or hosting it at home of no. 1 seed, or home & away Tests. Right now there's no advantage for a team to be the top seed. WTC has its flaws. I was going by the quality or value of WTC over CT. I value excelling in Test cricket (Mace or WTC) is way better in quality of competition and cricket than CT. I think ODI WC is more remembered than WTC or Mace. Edited July 31, 2024 by coffee_rules

The reason WTC will never be as valuable is that it's not equal for everyone and favors SENA teams. They should either host the final at the home of top seed or opt for home & away matches for the final. The current format is a joke. We can be heads & shoulders above the other teams but a one-off final in rainy & seaming conditions is all it takes for a non-deserving team to win. coffee_rules 1
