"Applications" for coaches, selectors, etc., hint at BCCI's bureaucratic mindset

Why do those who want to be coaches, selectors, etc. for Team India, need to apply as if it is an ordinary job? Many times, top candidates also may not prefer to apply if they feel they may not be picked (esp. due to politics).

BCCI should be taking the initiative to identify and approach suitable candidates. Those responsible for selections should do research, understand where the game is heading, identify 2-3 suitable candidates, and then speak with them for the position. IPL teams shortlist candidates and approach them for their teams too.

Do away with these applications and take the initiative to identify and approach the right candidate. :orderorder:

Anyone who is familiar with our babu culture knows that this is all rigged. This is similar to floating "tender" and the winner has already been selected.

No longer possible when it comes to large deals
