Ideally it should be handled via auction but you know that this is India and backroom dealing is how it works. How do you think Pandya went to MI? All these deals for so called "star/marquee" players like Pant, KL Rahul, Rohit, Bumrah, Kohli, Dhoni, Gill, Pandya etc. happens behind the scenes. It's only the "regular" players who are subject to auction.

In the past RCB has had Gayle, Deviliers, Maxwell. Yet won nothing. I doubt even with legends like Dravid-Kumble they are going to win.

 

Problem is not their coaching staff. They have no courage to fix the real problem. Let alone fix, they don't even have the courage to admit there is a problem.
