Sala larkiyan bahut demanding ho gai hain saadi se pahle unke liye spare car kharid ke rakhana par raha hai................ Someone please revive dowry system in canada .. Kahan to car leke aati thin ab unke liye car kharid ke intezaar karo :hysterical:
Abbe larkiyan demanding to shuru se thi bhai, tum bas dhyaan nahin dete the pahle. :--D Reminds me of school days when most guys wanted to have a cycle to impress chicks. Jisko dekho bade bhai ka Avon, Atlas, Hero cycle le kar ghuma reha hai. And if by any remote chance you had a BSA-SLR then you had won half the battle right there. Funny how it progressed over the years. Pahle cycle was status symbol of majnus. Then moped started occupying attention followed by Scooter(specially Vespa and Kinetic) aur uske baad motorbike(specially Yamaha was a chick magnet). Ab lagta hai car has overtaken them all.

:hysterical::hysterical: Actually baat sahi bhi hai. :nervous: My Avon cycle during Science College days was used less for going to college but to cycle down to Gandhi Maidan, park it in one of the cycle lots at Elphinston, Mona etc and then hop right inside. Often to do double loading, woh bhi career pe nahin balki aage waala danda pe. Funniest thing is how I used to think that girls would think it looked cool, paddeling away with another ga****oo on the danda. $alla how gadha we were? :nervous::nervous:

i remember... i was going to school on my cycle... my school was near my house at delhi.. and it so happened one day that my friend's sister who was in a different school...was going to her school... and we had some kinda mutual attraction...and i offered to drop her till her school..and she agreed..she didn't sit at the danda actually...carrier pe baithi...still it was heaven for me....once i dropped her at school...i was so excited that i was really was cycling at full speed..it was cool spring weather..and just at one corner..because of bushes..i did not see that an army jipsy had stopped..probably the driver saw me coming... i rammed my cycle front on...although my speed was little slow at turn ..and i applied brakes too...not a serious damage..but i fell down...scratches on my cycle...my school dress got soiled...and front tyre gone kaput.. still..i remember that incident as one happy incident..School Days..:winky:

saala, from Civic Mazda to Avon Cycle...Kudos to Lurker guru :-D Some unique memories with bicycle which I will enevr forget....during childhood, wasn't able to learn how to balance a the bicycle since feet were unable to reach till paddles. So one 'expert' in village taught me a revolutionar technic called "Kainchi" --- it's done by inserting your right foot in the space between "Danda" and Chain cover and thus reaching till right side paddle. When you drive bicycle in this postion-- for a first time observer it will look very awkward, but for us dehaati kids it was normal. In fact I ferried a lot of wheat boriya (packets) till chakki (flour mill) using this "Kainchi" cycling.:--D

We called it 'Katri'. If you are short and you want to ride a big cycle, you can use that technique. As we grew taller, we use to go on the 'bar'. I have gone miles cycling on the bar without using the seat. Mind you, it is very painful at times to your you-know-whats. I have driven atleast for 3-4 years without ever getting on the seat. We never could afford kids' cycles, then. We use that same ones that grown-ups use.
