I'd go for the civic.. infact i have one.. go for the one with paddle shifts.. its an automatic, with a triptonic sport mode, so u can control changing gears if u want with paddles on the steering wheel.. its great fun to drive

So As Civic Is There As A Choice, So Yaa U Are To Follow The Trend.. btw, the latest CIVIC'S interior is good. i like that speed o meter thing in there. it's little unique for it. and looks good
ludhianvi Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Also, looking at Hyunda Accent/Elantra Have used Hyundai Accent 2008. The car is more compact than a Honda Civic and cheaper as well. The interior can be a little crammed especially if you intend you use the backseats as well. But I like its compactness, moves around well. Civic looks more spacious and durable. But I always liked the looks of a Nissan

Since you already have a Camry I am guessing you are going to use this 2nd car as your staple to work and back(maybe with an eye on gas prices). Probably the Camry would be used when you are carrying family/friends to some longer journey maybe?? The reason I ask is that if your main reason is to go from Point A to B then Civic is going to be your best bet. Mazda3 are great cars but from whatever I have heard their resell value is hardly as impressive as Honda. At the same time I would suggest you check Hyundai. They have started to make some fine cars that will be lot cheaper, however the resell value would still be bad here. I would also suggest you check Altima seriously. Reason being it is the most powerful car in its class(if you compare to Civic, Corrola, Mazda3, Matrix etc etc). You may have to shell a couple of grands more but it would be worth it. Specially if you live in an area with a few terrains here and there. In the end it may come down to cost really. Both Civic and Altima when fully loaded will set you back by 20 K give or take a couple. Mazda3 or Hyundai should be around 15-16 K with similar features. PS: Stay away from Dodge Calibre. I almost always seem to get them these days on rental and they are not good at all. Shoulder check is worst of all cars I have driven, mileage is OKish and driving is hardly a pleasure. Not recommended.
veer Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 I have civic.. its pretty descent.. gives me 32miles on highways.. interior is pretty good.. but u will be paying about 22k US $ for the top line (XL i think) which IMO is not worth it.. plus it does not have automatic door unlock ones u turn off ur car.. other than that its a good for high gas prices..

NEVER BUY A VOLKSWAGEN ... EVER. Do remember hybrid are fine when it comes to milage but you break something repair can be bloody exp.
gs Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 Hyundais and Suzukis are cheap. You could probably get a fully loaded brand new one in 15-17K range. Civic is a good car, but overpriced IMO.Corolla might be another option.
theguyinallblue Posted June 16, 2008 Posted June 16, 2008 SX4 is selling like hot cakes here in india.... nice looks also...i have started to see fair number of Civics also on delhi roads... and camry is still considered a luxury car..here...costs 22~23 Lakhs..and civic costs 12-14 lakhs..
