Austin 3:!6
NEW DELHI: Mahendra Singh Dhoni's global fanbase is legendary, and one such devoted admirer recently undertook an extraordinary journey to catch a glimpse of the cricket icon. Gaurav Kumar, a die-hard fan, cycled nearly 1,200 kilometers from Delhi to Ranchi, determined to meet the man he idolizes. Upon arriving at Dhoni’s farmhouse, Gaurav set up camp outside the gates and patiently waited for nearly a week. He even slept in a tent, all in hopes of a personal encounter with the cricketing legend. Though he managed to catch sight of Dhoni a couple of times when the cricketer drove out, he did not get the opportunity for a proper interaction. Dhoni waved at him from his car but did not stop, leaving Gaurav yearning for more. Gaurav shared his story on social media, hoping it would reach Dhoni and inspire him to come out for a meet-and-greet. Despite being known for regularly stopping to take selfies and shake hands with fans waiting outside his farmhouse, Dhoni remained unaware of Gaurav's dedication. The story of Gaurav’s quest to meet his hero highlights the lengths fans will go to for their idols. While he may not have secured a personal meeting with Dhoni this time, Gaurav’s journey is a testament to the passion and unwavering loyalty that characterize true fandom. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/sports/off-the-field/die-hard-fan-travels-1200-km-by-bicycle-to-meet-ms-dhoni-camps-outside-his-farmhouse-for-days/articleshow/113869588.cms

BacktoCricaddict
I will never understand cult of personality and hero worship. Seems like a waste of time and energy. No one - other than family members - is worthy of such adulation no matter who they are or what they have achieved. Austin 3:!6
