Yes t20 tournament , the thought process for selection is non-existence.  

 

Should have picked top performers for local t20 leagues and last u19 batch.  Also ranji trophy is going-on so not many boards will let (or be happy with letting go of) top/1st 11 player go to this tournament.

 

Batters --Chikara, Priyanshu, rizvi,, porel (wk), Mayank Rawat 

Bowlers- Hangerkerkar,  Sakib

It is possibly that the selectors want all the quick bowlers to play Ranji and develop as bowlers. 

 

Anyway, all our genuinely quick pacers are in the test squad.  Mayank, Bumrah, Harshit, Prasidh, Akash.   And Umran and Sen are unfit. Probably Tyagi too. 

 

The free ones are Gurnoor, Yudhvir, Hangargekar. The first 2 are playing Ranji and that is good. 

 

Maybe Limbani and Naman could have been picked.
