This guy was born in the same year when ICF was started? lol That is ridiculously young. Do we have any teenager ready to make debut?

Teenagers and youngsters can only debut or play when oldies finally decide to take a break. We have likes of Sai Sudarshan, Jurel, Rinku etc. waiting in the wings but when you have 38 year olds taking their spot what can you do? We have to "wait" for the oldies to voluntarily hang up their boots on their own and then we'll think about giving youngsters a chance.

where Aus is slowly start to blood youngsters like Sam-the-Man, we still hang on to our oldies...

We have Jurel, Sarfaraz, Sai etc. but they can't get in thanks to the two spots which're permanently reserved for the two seniors

Musheer was seriously injured in an accident so not sure about him but before than incident, would've backed him.

Konstas had played less than Musheer (who also has the superior FC record) but was given the chance. Likewise for Hameed, Bethell, etc.

Our problem have always been seniors and the so called "experience". We won BGT in Aus on the backs of youngsters and right after the seniors were back to steal credit. Our youngsters have shown time and again they can outshine the seniors but are sent back or never given a continued run. We somehow prefer to back likes of SKY who is himself in 30s because of his connections than players who deserve to be given chances.

Disappointing really as we pander to stars who haven't delivered much and are simply there to hog credit and deny deserving players chances.

when prithvi shaw played at 18, IIRC, he scored much more than Konstas. One may say that the WI attack was weak, but so is the Indian one in this test barring the overworked Boom

They've broken Bumrah. He has been made into a stock bowler and you may as well rest him at SCG

This is exactly what I was afraid of after the 1st Test, and Rohit has managed to do it. They've managed to run Bumrah into the ground and he's done for the series.

He should be rested at SCG to save him from a serious injury.

I would rather he focuses only on shorter formats as he can help us win some silverware. He's not needed for Tests at home and he can't make a difference by himself Away so no point making him a workhorse and ending his career in a year or two.

he is more needed in tests than LOIs; at least, we have batting in the latter format. in tests, bowlers win matches

In Tests he'll be bowled to death within a year. I would rather see him in shorter formats till 2027 than see him play Tests till 2025.
