Plus Australia selects tall, hit the deck, bouncy pacers who feel spicy to face even when they are bowling within themselves on occasions ( necessary in a long career ).  

 

We select medium height or short pacers who feel innocuous unless they are bowling 140 k+ or moving the ball prodigiously.  So they either have to bowl flat out all the time to look threatening and hence tire themselves ... or they become innocuous.

we lack tall pacers, left arm pacers (most teams have one good leftie), etc. it is rather homogeneous attack in the rohit era

We have and always had pacers who are 6'2" or 6'3".  But we don't want them, especially since 2011. 

 

Even while selecting trundlers we preferred Bhuvi ahead of Ishwar Pandey and Mukesh ahead of Unadkat.

 

Medium height, medium pace, medium quality, middle age is our dream for pacers.

Also medium d**k length.

 

Someone like Kuruvilla was wasted in his peak years. Could have been an able support for Srinath.

 

We should look for 6'4+ pacers too. they are a different breed
