We are destined to lose this test in the most painful way possible

Yes, if we win through some outlandish reason, this win would actually be more remarkable than Gabba win.

Much much more outlandish. Also remember we were chasing 328 at Gabba and we started batting end of Day 4. Here we've to chase 330+ and we'll bat on Day 5 so we already have nearly 10 overs reduced with 10 more runs to get.And even at Gabba there was a time when the RR was 5+ at the end when Pant and Sundar batted like they were playing a T20.

Sorry, but this target is simply not realistic.

it is not indeed. draw is our best-case scenario, and a loss is 95% guaranteed

He will go for a draw. He's Mr. Negative. Look at his field placements to the Aus tail

Yup, he's the first to spread the field and treated Lyon like Bradman. Other than slogging like a madman in PP overs, Rohit hasn't done anything positive or aggressive. He's not gonna push for the win and frankly he shouldn't. SImply bat out the day and tire out Aussie bowlers.

Nah mate ,they are sh1t scared of Us ,the History tells that ,they'll declare after at least half an hour . Even in that 2014 Series ,they were declaring late and giving silly targets like 370 odd in 80 odd overs for the final day.

Australia will play it safe and will ensure safety first policy because their primary target is to reach the WTC finals ,they know they'll reach their with just 1 win against Srl even at the cost of drawing this test or the Sydney test.

In 2014 they had the series won already and had the BGT. This is different. If they don't win now, they may not get a chance at SCG if we win the toss there. Aussies are desperate to win BGT so will go all out for a win. Asking us to bat only 80 overs will play in our favor as it's easier to play out 80 overs and not facing the 2ns new ball.

SCG could be a draw. And Aus knows that their weak lineup will be destroyed by prabath "murali" jayasuria, while Kamindu Mendis will pulverize their bowlers. 2-0 loss in SL loading.

SL is writing their own destiny of brainfarts. They had no business losing that 1st T20 with NZ chasing 170 when they were 91/0 in response  ...ahahaha.

I agree with your 2nd new ball point but I think they'll declare after half an hour at least .

Indian fast bowlers should just bowl filth and wide lol

they are a much better team in tests, that too in home conditions. have decent pacers + spinners, and more importantly, their batters know how to play spin unlike ours.

Yes. I hope SL pulverise Aus.

Then they won't be able to target us with the new ball and make the task so much easier for us. In that case we probably go to SCG tied 1-1 which Aussies wouldn't want.

Lyon has 93 SR in ODIs and 100+ SR in List A (excluding ODIs). If you bowl wide, he will tonk them.

At least mak ethem bowl so they're not as fresh as they are now. Plus injuries can happen if they're forced to bowl  most of the day.

Not really. their physical conditioning is peak - much higher than Boom

But you never know when you're in the field bowling. A sprain, some muscle pull when you're straining for that extra yard of pace, or a side strain etc. Anything is possible and that's why Aussies have done their best to make us and Bumrah bowl so much.
