Another day & yet another controversy! How come we're seeing so much noise(?) as opposed to when we see games in India :hitler:

What's the controversy? Looked like Sundar gloved the ball behind. I found "no snicks" on the snickometer in the previous Test for Jaiswal and Bumrah dismissals to be more controversial. But overall I agree that it's time we move on to something much more reliable like Hot Spot.

In India we usually get large spikes even for gloves, also is no one filtering outside noises like shoes scratching the turf or something similar? You can't tell me that it's impossible or too difficult - this is established science & has been for decades, although noise isolation (in cricket) will require a lot more data if you want to get it up to snuff.

I'm seeing constant noise in many of the referrals here, either they're calibrating the mics differently in India or there's a major difference in the hardware/software (?) setup for some reason!

Yeah very unreliable. Probably used some cheap h/w & equipment (microphones, sensors etc.) from China. Even a clear deflection is not producing any spikes which shows something is totally off.
