It was his comments on Sachin and the Indian team during the 1996 World Cup in our TV room that rekindled my fondness for cricket. Call it patriotism or the feeling of being away from home, but I ended up following the game so deeply that I eventually became part of the foundation of this website years later, whose owner's son is now the star of the New Zealand cricket team.
