Sachinism Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 *sends shirt to laundry* did he get it dirty again today?
vsd2006 Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Raina is the only batsman in the current Indian team apart from SRT who has recieved the accolades from Brian lara on his backfoot batting prowess. Raina will go on to become one of the all time greats of the game if the corruption at BCCI allows him to stay in the team
Dravid Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 IPL Helped Raina After his second consecutive half-century helped India clinch their maiden bilateral ODI series win in Sri Lanka, Suresh Raina credited his success in the Indian Premier League as crucial to his second coming at this level. "I played well and I learned a lot, which helped me," he said. "The hesitation I had about playing big shots has completely gone . My mind is working well and I'm in a good groove. Getting a chance to play with seniors again has benefited me. " http://content-www.cricinfo.com/slvind/content/current/story/366534.html helped him, will help others, and will help in finding new talent, so stop the *****ing about IPL being this and that:D

Shane Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 There is no doubting his talent, but hope we get more out of him in terms of consistency
ORION Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Wonder if he'll make his test debut against oZ?dnt thnk so.y dnt indian cricketers retire with honour n dignity?Y Do they punish n embarrass themselves by continuing to play when its obvious that their game is in the doldrums?and yes the drab4's powers are going down...fast.dnt be in denial drab worshippers.let the lad play.

satishg Posted July 29, 2010 Posted July 29, 2010 i love this thread, too bad that prince guy who started this thread is no where around now :D
Septimius Severus Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 @OP He is woeful against short pitched bowling. He lacks technique( see Centurion 2010 and Trent Bridge 2011)
Jayaram_IND Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 He is more of a work in progress against the short ball.Maybe he can make few changes in his technique(his stance ie, a higher bat lift) something similar to what Sourav did after he came back to the tream in 2006. Here is what i mean This is saurav in 2002 cA_mkwKo2-E&playnext=1&list=PLEAE8E026DBAD05F8 and after coming back in 2006 25lCoZJlGLA Notice the changes- less crouching(very evident at 0:29)and higher batlift. Also im not comparing raina with ganguly.
Jayaram_IND Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Would like to see who indians pick for the next test as both mukund and raina have similar problems both against short balls and against inswingers
Jayaram_IND Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Hope raina signs up for some County team and improves his game
