Ram Posted July 8, 2008 Posted July 8, 2008 I have occassionally visited B'lore as a tourist, but my longest stay there was for 3 days, when I went there in the beginning of my final year of UG to hunt for projects. I stayed at my project partner's uncle's house. For 3 days, every morning, he would drop us off at the Victoria Circle bus stand and pick us up there, in the evening. We were supposed to visit a pre-decided list of companies to ask them, but ended up spending most of time in MG road.. :D I liked the city a lot. It was vibrant and had a lot of life. But if there's one thing thats bad about B'lore, its the traffic. Its just a nightmare to commute there during peak hours. P.S: On one of the days I was there, there was a big fire that totally destroyed some shops on MG road.

Weather used to be great a decade ago, but now pollution has played havoc with it. The traffic and the city's infrastructure are in horrendous shape. Unless Karnataka govt gets its act together, the city will soon lose its charm. The pub/disco/bar used to be great during the dotcom boom time and a little after, but then the "moral police" became active. Last I heard, all places shut down at 10:30ish.. Talk about nightlife :((

Talk about nightlife :(( Yeah...that sucked...it used to be 11.00 pm before....but we used to drive to the dhabas on the city outskirts...booze was available all night long....my car had a good system (subs, 2 amps & extra tweeters)....had the best cd's so...still enjoyed drinking until early hours....:winky:

Kolkata, is again good only for Bengalis. Mumbai is the only true cosmo city in India. But nowadays with Sena BS, even that place is not good for non-Maharashtrians. **** them all.

Bengalis speak bengali..if they meet another Bengali... Tamilians speak in tamil if they meet another tamil... people of North-east mainly students...speak their native language..among themselves... i think Delhi is truly a cosmopolitan state..without any bias to any particular community or state...
