Molineux is a weird choice for their next captain, she is also injured often, misses many games.

I thought it would be Gardner, just 28 and their best player once Perry and Healy leave. Healy->Gardner->Sutherland-> Litchfield is how I thought they would plan their leadership succession. Someone on footy was saying that Aus society hasn't reached a level where they are comfortable having an openly lesbian person as captain. Dunno if that is an exaggeration or not, but very strange.

Should drop Shreyanka for Fulmali Fulmali could provide great support to Richa Ghosh

Shreyanka is one for the future, invest in youngsters. A core group of Shafali, Richa, Shreyanka, Shree Charani, Gaud should be developed so that we can dominate the 2030s.

Ashleigh Gardner is Indigenous. Perhaps Australia didn't want an Indigenous person to captain the team years ago. Some Australians brutally trolled her back then, though the exact reason isn't clear

Didn't know that, you may have a point. I thought all was good on that front after Cathy Freeman.

She/Gillespie are more white than indigenous.

India ahead of Aus in DLS. They have shown here that WC SF wasn't a fluke. Eng ladies never looked like winning a game in women's Ashes last year, lost all 7 matches in their tour.

The fear of Australia is truly gone from the team.

Remember the ODI series in Ind just before the WC last year?

3rd ODI Aus set a 400+ target. And our ladies went for it, gave them a proper scare, scoring 370 in 45 overs. We were ahead at halfway stage.

I think that was such an important game in terms of getting over the psychological stranglehold of Aus. Even Aussies realized that, hence so many blunders on the field in that SF. Once you take the fight to your stronger opponent, show courage, things improve over time. And it also leaves an impact on the other team. That is what young Djokovic did when Fedal were dominating the tour, and in a few years time he gained psychological edge over those two, dominating the H2Hs, especially in big tournaments like Majors, ATP Finals and Masters 1000s.

This is how we also won 20-21 BGT. Pant's onslaught in SCG on day 5 (especially those 6s against Lyon spinning it from the rough) showed Aussies that we were there to win, and entire squad got inspired from that effort.

Common advice in every religion/philosophy, 'do not fear'. For a good reason.
