Ultimate_Game Posted April 2 Posted April 2 It's bound to happen sooner or later. A home and away schedule with 18 games per team season is the way to go followed by playoffs. It'll take 3-3.5 months and that'll eventually happen. Or the other option is to add couple more teams and split teams equally (6 on each side). Have home and away with the teams in their group (10 matches) and play the teams in the other group once (6 matches) - home one year and away the next. This will result in 16 matches every season plus playoffs. This can be done within 3 months which is practical.
JazzyB Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Going to go the way of football but not that extreme 6-8 months T20 league cricket and remaining months for key international games / world cups
vvvslaxman Posted April 2 Posted April 2 (edited) 94 mathes even hardcore iPL fans will turn their face away. This is already pushing the limit. Injuries will multiply with such schedule. we cannot keep 110 players fit and ready all the time Edited April 2 by vvvslaxman Manucrick 1
deepdynamo Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Even 74 matches is too much. Imgaine 94 matches in a season. 3 Month of non stop IPL exhaustion. BacktoCricaddict, Soorma Bhopali and Manucrick 3
