THX_1138 Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 ...so out of crores of Madrassa students, in a span of 50 years, a couple of exceptional talents like Gulzar can be used as subtle justification ....talk about Madrasa logic! Anyway, I have observed very closely the Madrassas in far-way UP and here is the synposis -- The most respected Madrassas in Jaunpur, Azamgarh and Allahabad and which are someway recognised by government are affiliated to Jamia Millia Islamia (mind you I am talking about Madrassas in city areas and numbers of such affiliated Madrassas are very low). The teaching subjects for these rather "recognized" Madrasas mainly consist of -- (1) Arabic (2) Urdu (4) Quran and Ahle Hadith (5) Farsi -- Jaunpur Jamia Millia Madrassa (6) Unaani Medicine -- Only in Allahabad There is No Technical, Science or English language course offerred even in most "respectable" Madrassas in UP affilaited to Jamia Millia, forget those large population of madrassas in rural Muslism areas in UP where only Arabic and Urdu learning is the main. That's the reason why a Lalu is able to exploit the fringe Muslim population. BJP has long advocated for reformation and "Indianization" of Madrassas and Mosque run institutions, but as usual our p-sec brigade termed it as attempt of saffronization. What you will expect from radical Muslims when there are many among our own p-sec brigade who don't want Muslims to reformed for the fear of loosing vote-bank appeal.:giggle: get your head out of your a*s and stick with the topic. not all graduates of madrassas are attending those schools out of choice or are violent jihadis, just as all graduates of convents are not the second coming.

Don't talk like an idiot when you have no clue. Get a grip first, I am talking about BJPs call for reformation of Madrassas and bringing them under central government, why you are getting so touchy and peddling Jeehadi violence rhetoric when none was mentioned in discussion before.?? And what's wrong when BJP calls for reforming Madrassas and Indianization of Saudi Wahhabi mosques?? Why p-sec brigade gets frenzy and spits utter nonsense that ohh see this BJP is trying to saffronise our beloved Saudi funded Madrassas by calling Madrassas reformation.....heck Noooone of the Madrassas ever sing Indian National Anthem and yet we have folks like Mullayam in UP and Lalu in center to give a free run to these scums....are we Indians so naive? I suggest you first read Arun Shourie sometimes -- he has long advocated to include National Anthem in Madrassa education and NCERT text book curriculum in phased manner --- Any sane person will appreciate this idea but not Indian p-sec mrorons.

sandtest Posted July 14, 2008 Author Posted July 14, 2008 heard about "freedom of religion"? Yes, and even you can here a lot of it at regular intervals on IBN and NDTV by jeehadi sympathizers like Teesta and Arundhooti whenever their beloved ROP members are shown mirror. "Freedom of religion" verse is often invoked to prove equal=equal by such pseaudo-intellectuals. besides, who goes to a madrassa? You are in US, you have no clue of rural India, do you? I will not talk about whole of India, since only in my state of Uttar Pradesh has more than 15000 RECOGNISED madrassas, (forget about those small un-registered madrassas in rural area for a moment). Many Muslim families in UP send the children for primary education in Madrassa.

Bringing Amreekan education system, in a discussion regarding Madrassas in rural India, good logic! We are not talking here about Post graduate/under graduate studies of Science and technology and associated research in USA, we are talking about BASIC PRIMARY EDUCATION for poor Muslim Families in rural UP where, they see Madrassa as source of education for kids. All BJP asked was, since mostly Madrassas are located nearby a Mosque they are receiving funds and support from Mosque which in turn receive funding from Arab countries. Like any other school, say a Hindi medium or a convent school, consider Madrassas as an education system and bring them under syllabus of NCERT -- the source of primary education for school children in India because poor Muslim children lags behind due to their poor Madrassa primary education and a lot of Muslims in rural India leave their education early and join their family business and hence vulnerable to exploitation. That's all, and Lo! p-sec brigade/Mullah loonies termed it as saffronization when in fact BJP asked for including syllabus of NCERT-- our governments legitimate text books. As far as singing National Anthem is concerned, I can't coment about Western countries, but we in India sing National anthem in Primary education, even our Primary school text books include "Jan Gan Man" of Rabindranath. I don't know how this can be unacceptable to any "Indian"!
sandtest Posted July 14, 2008 Author Posted July 14, 2008 is that ms. roy that you speak of? Yes yes, the great Marxist Arundotty Roy, who once said that the attack on Indian parliament was hatched by Indian Government to malign her great "friendly" nation of Pakistan. Now imagine someone in your USA says that US government killed their own people and she will get awards?? In India she is showerred with praises and awards. Sometimes, she and Teesta Setlvad with Kuldeep Nayar and other assorted leftists can be seen kissing candle lights at Wagah border of India. "Candle light kissers of wagah border" is the award I will shower on her if ever I am in GOI...:hysterical:

It's these views which for instance gives Bharat ratna to a genocidal pri$k like Rajeev Gandhi who slept over a massacre and keeps badgering Modi which was awake and while containing the riot got his police to kill more than 300 rioters.

I mean, WTF, India's founding father Sardar Vallabhbha Patel is honored only after a dynasty peddler Rajiv has been honored. Why Congress delayed honoring Sardar Patel?..why can't our media pose such questions? Eff you Congress...history will not forgive you, if ever BJP gets a chance to re-write it, you will be exposed totally and only then our young generation will realize how we were pushed in this deep hole of Leftism in the name of secularism. Congress is a disgrace to word secularism.
Gambit Posted July 14, 2008 Posted July 14, 2008 I don't know about Teesta Setlvad,Medha Patkar etc but Arundhati Roy should be banished to Kaala Paani just for speaking out in support of Afzal and for denouncing one of the proudest days in Indian history(Pokhran 1998).

Your BJP does not seem to have any problem supporting dynasty peddlers like Bal Thackeray and his sons ...
Texy Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Don't worry.....slowly and maturely India is destroying itself, its culture, its religion and its values...we're too busy trying to appease the minority and they're ruling the country....it's disgusting to see ppl in india stop doing things during namaaz times in places like calcutta, hyderabad, lucknow..... it feels like i'm visiting middle east and not India...

I rest my case.. Yes u are right it's not just congress take out communist and BJP each and every party is basically dyanstic in nature but torch-bearer for them remains congress..

I would share the latest fracas over Ashish nandy's govt sponsored lecture in New York City here.. http://www.hvk.org/articles/0198/0018.html The speakers were Salman Khurshid (the grandson of Zakir Husain, India's first Muslim president), T N Ninan, Ashish Nandy (brother of Pritish Nandy) of Delhi, and a few comparably unknowns, such as Vijay Mehta and Ms Shaheen Kumar. Mr Khurshid failed to arrive and in his absence, Ashish Nandy took the lead. At the total surprise of everyone, Mr Nandy unleashed a wholesale vituperation of India and everything that is Indian, the country's culture, religion, and so on. Mr Nandy highlighted India's many castes and sub-castes (according to him they ran into thousands), dialects, nationalities and sub- nationalities, customs, regional loyalties and so on: in short, according to Nandy, it was not right to consider India a nation: it was, according to him, a conglomeration and a hodgepodge of many divergent and antagonistic entities. In short, Nandy's description of India was false: it was a totally negative image that was even criminal to present to listeners abroad. It was fortunate that our friend, Mr Kataria, a long-time resident of New York, was present in that meeting along with a few of his friends. After Nandy's diatribe, Mr Kataria stood up and requested permission from the chairman of the Asia Society, an American gentleman, to say a few words. The permission was granted. Mr Kataria openly and bluntly contradicted all that Nandy had said during the long 20 minutes of his diatribe At that point, Mr Nandy stood up and in an unseemly outburst said that he was not a Hindu: that he didn believe that India is a viable country for the modem world (we came to know later that Nandy was an Indian Christian). Someone cooed, why then did he carry a Hindu name? Nandy was silent.
sandtest Posted July 15, 2008 Author Posted July 15, 2008 There you go again ,blaming Congress alone for dynasty peddling ! Haven't we been through this before ... Your BJP does not seem to have any problem supporting dynasty peddlers like Bal Thackeray and his sons ... yes, we have been through this before, but unfortunately it's too difficult to figure out this fact that BJP and SS are not the SAME parties. SS is merely an ally which can make/break any time if SS finds it's regional interests in conflict with BJPs lofty ideals of National interests. Even SS is not in that deep sheet of dynasty as this Manio family business of Congress....Last time when SS was in power for the first time since it's existence in Maharashtra, they installed Narayan Rane as Chief Minister. An interesting info. about Rane. Those who follow Maratha politics closely will know that Narayan Rane is a Malvani-Konkani Maharashtrian and not from Nasik-Pune heartland of Maratha manus. Yet Balasaheb elevated him to that position over a well known practising Brahmin-- Manohar Joshi ( those who accused Maharashtra SS+BJP government for promoting upper caste leaders had already eaten a humble pie after that). Those were the times when SS was having some good ideological influence of RSS and hence the result. Today's Narayan Rane, after leaving SS and joining Congress, is seen singing praises of Sonia Manio and fancing his chances of another CM kursi by toppling Deshmukh. This is the same guy who had previledge of full 4 years of CM power during SS+BJP government, yet spits venom that Brahmanical Joshi was preferred over him, so that he can please his Congressi Italian beeyatch :giggle:

It's pleasant to see that NRI folks like yourself follow developments and propaganda against India in west so closely:hatsoff: Respect. And yeah, in India there are people in dime and dozen with Hindu sounding names but converted Christians or Christians by birth. Actually such people are more hardcore Christians than those born in Europe etc. You will see such "Hindu" sounding Christians will pour more venom by writing articles, rediculing BJP, RSS, there is no "right for religious freedom" yada yada, whne in fact BJP opposes conversion (soul harvesting) And the most important thing, they will use the word "Dalit" more often than anyone. Christian subversion is a next BIG challenge to India after Islamism.
