zen Posted May 29 Posted May 29 A new series set in 1930s NY. It stars Nicholas Cage. It is available in both black and white (for 1930s authenticity) and color. I am more likely to lean towards the authentic black and white version. Haven’t watched a series in a while, so maybe it is time to check this out.
EnterTheVoid Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Nic Cage has incredible charisma. I'd watch it just for him.
zen Posted June 1 Author Posted June 1 (edited) I watched a few episodes. It appears to be shot for B&W with color, which is saturated, provided as a good option. So far the series appears to be neither excellent nor terrible, which is perfect for good time pass, designed to be watched with a laid back attitude. It has a nice sound track too. It appears to be not designed as a series with frequent twists and turns leading to a darker mystery. It is an easy going detective series about a PI with spider powers tacking a case involving a femme fatale, a crime boss, a few characters with super powers, etc., making the title “Spider-Noir” apt.
