I had set the right expectations... I knew we would lose to Aus and Eng comfortably and that SA are favorites against us in T20s. Nothing's changed. We simply don't have the batting hitting power needed for T20s. Unless we unearth 3-4 more Richa Ghoshes we'll struggle.

 

Our template is our openers will score around 50 or so in PP and once the field spreads, we struggle. And then we need Richa to hit to get us to 170-180 else we end up around 140-160. Our team is an ODI team and not a T20 one. They're similar to our Men's T20 team from 2010s when our ceiling was 160-170. We have to wait for the new batch to come through and hope we get some hitters coz this team doesn't have it.

Exactly. They should have given her the 3rd right away. She looked like she was going to run through the batting

That is a fair assessment.

Our players are to be blamed tbh dropping catch and not trying anything different is criminal

Shafali gives you  4 overs. WHy did they play extra bowler. 

 

Reddy, Rawat, Nandani, Charani, Deepiti, Shafali. That is 6 bowlers. Needed a finisher.
